Within the IGNITE (Invest in Graduations, Not Incarceration, Transform Education) Campaign, Ryan led on graphic design, website production and management, print materials, apparel, and advertisement. As the campaign went from a statewide to a national campaign, Ryan engaged in visits to Washington, D.C. to lobby elected officials on Capitol Hill and organized political rallies where elected leaders attended. The campaign seeks to reallocate state funding to more heavily emphasize the educational system instead of state prisons.
In addition to managing the IGNITE campaign as a college student, Ryan also organized community events that included hundreds of current and perspective students as well as alumni. For those events, Ryan created materials for print, designed apparel from shirts and tank tops to basketball and soccer jerseys, and made memorabilia pieces such as flags, vinyl, logos, and stickers.
