As a senior digital specialist, Ryan has taken lead on digital strategy for major campaigns such as the historic CSUEU victory which organized thousands of working people at 23 California State University campuses and the gig campaign which is organizing gig workers in states across the country through ballot initiatives such as Yes On 3 in Massachusetts. Ryan has also spent over five years managing SEIU’s main social media platforms, collaborating with and creating content for major campaigns including Starbucks Workers United who recently organized their 500th store, and the Fight For a Union which recently rebranded from the Fight For $15. Ryan frequently writes and sends email blasts, manages websites, creates and sets up digital ads, leads on graphic design, and attends strikes, rallies, and political events to create video content.
Ryan has led on creating graphic design, social media copy, and digital content on the ground at strikes and rallies for the Starbucks Workers United campaign. This includes from the first Starbucks unionized store in Buffalo, New York to the 500th unionized store with over 11,000 baristas organized. Ryan created the graphic design that was used for the historic national strike during the holiday season in late December 2024 that included hundreds of Starbucks stores and over 5,000 Starbucks workers.
